Small Change, Big Impact

I have to admit: I loved having long hair this summer. It was the perfect length to put up in a sleek bun right after my morning shower. When it dried, I'd pull my hair tie out and have amazing loose curls for the rest of the day. It was a great, yet effortless, summer look. However with crisper fall mornings, going outside with wet hair is less of an option.

I was able to stop in to see my favorite hairdresser while I was visiting my folks this weekend. She took about six inches off, but left me with some layers and shorter pieces that frame my face quite nicely. I'm in love with my new 'do. Less hair makes for easy blow-drying and styling in the morning. More importantly, I can still get it in a ponytail for those long runs. I'm amazed how much lighter I feel. It was a nice reminder that sometimes a small change can make a big impact.
